PTA/STAAR Information for THES families Meeting

Thank you for your on-going support and participation in your child’s education. We continue to recognize how resilient students have been in the face of the many challenges we’ve all encountered this year. Students have seized on opportunities to enhance their use of technology, grow academically, and continue learning.

While Austin ISD has offered remote learning to families for the entire school year, Texas Education Agency guidelines require us to administer the STAAR on-site. It is our goal for every student who is able to come to campus to do so. All safety measures will be in place for the administration of the test including masks, social distancing where feasible, and easily available handwashing and sanitizing stations.

Please join us on Monday, March 22nd  6 :30 pm to discuss our campus STAAR information with  specific dates and times for testing.

PTA General Meeting

Monday, March 22nd, 6:30-7:30 pm via Zoom

Please join your PTA and the THES Leadership for a General PTA Meeting.  One of the main topic will be the upcoming STAAR Testing and what it will look like in the times of COVID.  We will also get updates on the current status of the school building and take a look at the upcoming school year.

Zoom Meeting Info will be sent via Class Dojo before the event.

March Friday Morning Assembly

Premiered at 8:00am, March 11th the KTHE-TV, Travis Heights Elementary YouTube channel.

Nothing makes more sense this year than to have the Monthly Friday Morning Assembly premiere a week off and on a Thursday to bring in the official open of Spring Break. ;).

In case you missed it:

Enjoy! Have a wonderful respite fellow Thunderbirds.
