We need volunteers! Booth sign ups will be posted in the lobby this Friday morning. Please note the change – in previous years, you signed up for your classroom booth. But this year you have the freedom to choose whatever booth you want to work!
If you can help by donating food or be sure to return the flyer sent home last week.
And finally, TOYS! TOYS! TOYS! – We ask everyone, regardless of what you sign up to do, to sift through your child’s black hole of toys and drop off gently used (but ignored) toys to our big collection bin outside the office. These toys are used as our prizes and the kids adore them (and you get organized toy shelves… at least until Christmas.)

50 Cents a book! What a deal!
You probably know this already – if your kids are like mine – and begging for money for books but the THES Library’s Used Book Fair is going on now!
Come check out a wide variety of used books for your children. Money raised goes to buy new library books! 📚 📚
Where: THES School Library
When: 10/3 – 10/7 (Mon-Fri)
Time: 8-2 (closed between 11:15-noon)
Cost: $.50 a book
*Please feel free to donate any gently used books that are in need of a loving home.

Volunteer Corner
Help in the Library!
Our wonderful librarian, Mrs. Underwood, does an amazing job focusing on helping our students and, because of her focus on our Thunderbirds’ learning, her library cart often reaches maximum capacity. Volunteers are needed year round to help shelve books. Just head on down to the library anytime during school hours. The first time you go Ms. Underwood can show you the ropes and then you’ll be ready to drop in whenever you have a few minutes to spare. Even 5 or 10 minutes can be a big help.
Wednesday Folder Volunteers
Even though you are clearly an e-folder fan, we still have many families who need to receive their information in paper form. Volunteers are needed to fill these folders each Wednesday morning. It’s an easy task when we have lots of volunteers. Just swing by the cafeteria after drop off on Wednesdays, and stay as long as you are able. No commitment necessary, come when you can. This is also a great place to meet other parents and catch up on all the latest THES happenings. Hope to see you next Wednesday!
