Wednesday Folder – September 21, 2016

Hello Thunderbirds!

Hope your day is going well! I’ve got a bunch of announcements in the efolder today for you but first a BIG APPRECIATION PUMP! 💪 💪 💪 to all those who braved the heat and humidity and came out this past Saturday for Beautification Day! The grounds are looking awesome! Y’all are amazing!

And another APPRECIATION PUMP! 💪 💪 💪 to Ben Appl for organizing his 9th Beautification Day!! That’s a lot of beautification going on there (not to mention tacos and coffee!)

A Little Experiment

Today I am trying something different with the efolder pdfs. Usually I break up the pdf and provide each flier as a separate link. So that you, the reader, can pick and choose the order you want to read the fliers. However, this means there is a lot of clicking and loading to get through the folder. Today I am giving you one pdf of all the fliers together and I want to know what you think about it. Do you like one pdf combined or prefer them separate? Yay, nay, or it doesn’t matter. Select the option that best suits you.

Classroom Helpers

Want to have some fun with our Tiny Thunderbirds 🐣 🐥 🐣 ? We are looking for classroom helpers in some of our Pre-K and 1st grade classrooms. These classes are filled to the brim and teachers could use an extra pair of hands during busy times of day. Please see the attached flyer for more details.

Coffee Chat ??

Looking for ways to find out what’s happening at Travis Heights? Be sure to stop in to our monthly Principal’s Coffee Chat. The first one of the year is September 30th at 8am. In addition to Q & A time with the principal, this month’s chat will include a presentation by AISD’s Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Specialist, Amber Pleasant.

Box tops

Box tops are back. Be sure to bring those box tops you’ve been collecting all summer to your child’s teacher before next Friday. The class with the most wins a popsicle party! See the attached flyer for additional collection deadlines throughout the year.

Wish List

Looking for small but effective ways to help the school? Consider donating items off the school’s wishlist. The attached flyer includes a list of items that are always in demand.

Please donate GENTLY USED CLOTHES, TOYS, BOOKS, HOUSEWARES, and ELECTRONICS. Ask your friends, neighbors & family if they have donations for the sale – the more inventory we have, the better the sale!
