November Principal’s News

Community and Culture

THES is a community school. We live, learn, and play together. The Fall Carnival was a huge success because of  our amazing community participation. Travis Heights is rich with diversity and culture.

Plans are underway for Tamalada and Cultural Festival!  Please consider participating in our annual Tamalada December, 4th and Cultural Festival December 7th. These fun annual traditions celebrate the diversity in our school with tamale making, performances, cultural tables, and a Mercado with items for sale. Please consider volunteering to setup a table to share your culture and traditions with our T-Bird families.

Veterans Day

No School on the 11th

We want to ensure our students recognize the service Veterans have given by serving our country and keeping us safe!  Please encourage your students to wear red, white, and blue to school on November 12th.

Baby It’s Cold Outside!

A Message from our PSS:COAT DRIVE for THES Students

Please bring any gently used coats your family has outgrown and please donate them to our THES families.  A box will be located in front of the PSS office. We would like to have at least 75 coats for those that may need one this winter season. We have a very gracious dry cleaner that will clean all the coats so that we may distribute before the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Please send any clothes hangers you might have hanging around…. Thank you!

COMMUNITY POTLUCK
Wednesday, November 13, 5-7pm.  THES families and area restaurants and businesses gather together with a dish to be shared. Please mark your calendar, more info to come!
