This week we will be holding the Lower Grade Assembly on Thursday, October 10th since there is NO SCHOOL on Friday! NO SCHOOL on Monday, either, but it is Parent Teacher Conference Day so please make sure you have your appointment scheduled with your child’s teacher. Also, if you would like to chaperone any of our field trips, you must get your background checks done ASAP through https://austinpartners.org.
The Used Book Fair is still going on through Thursday, so be sure to stop by the library!

CALLING ALL THUNDERBIRD FAMILIES!
The Fall Carnival is happening Friday, October 18th, 5-8 PM…just over a week away! The Carnival is staffed entirely by amazing volunteers (this means you) and is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Work a shift, meet some other parents, and then enjoy all the other booths (22 in total), food, music, and more with your kiddo! Kids (and parents) are encouraged to come wearing Halloween costumes. Please sign up for a shift today! Don’t worry, no expertise is necessary to man the booths! Each grade level is responsible for assigned booths, so please reference the link below:
And a reminder that WE NEED TOYS! Please donate your gently used small toys and stuffed animals for carnival booth prizes. Please leave items in boxes outside the office.

It is a THES tradition for 5th-grade students and parents to run the Haunted Hallway at the Fall Carnival. This is a lot of fun for the kids but it is also a BIG project! We will need help with set-up, clean-up, and monitoring the Haunted Hallway. Ms. Isoline will have a separate sign up for the kids who want to work the hallway. Parents can sign up online!
