What an awesome community we have!! Through the widespread support of friends, family, and our business partners: Home Slice Pizza, Juke Automotive, Edwards Mulhausen Design, Rockford Business Interiors, and PSW we’ve raised $23,172!

You may have noticed the mason jar contest we had going, tallying how many donations came in from each grade level, and the winner is…….FIRST GRADE!

A special grade wide treat will be distributed this Friday. Key chains will also be distributed to each child who had a donation made in their name.

There is still time to donate if you feel moved to do so–we still need another $6,828 to meet our $30,000 goal. You can drop a check in the PTA mailbox, located in the administration office, or go to www.travisheightselementary.com/donate

Your generosity and involvement are inspiring not only to our children but to the city at large. Your engagement is what makes this school so special. Again, THANK YOU.

Young Writer’s Workshop

Tomorrow is our 22nd annual Young Writer’s Workshop (YWW)! Be sure you ask your child how his/her day went. You’re bound to be delighted! If you are interested in learning more about the amazing presenters at this year’s workshop see the list here…

It’s Time to Register!

Online registration for next school year is now open! Our goal is to have 75% of students registered by the end of March. Completing registration early is important as it impacts the amount of funding and staffing we receive. Classrooms who have all students registered by March 30th will receive a special prize! Quizzes, Tests, and Exams… Oh My!!!

Join us for the Coffee Chat, Feb. 23rd at 8am as we welcome Amber Pleasant, AISD Social Emotional Learning Specialist, for a conversation about test anxiety and how to help students cope.

Spring Beautification Day is this Saturday 2/24!

We need anyone and everyone to come this Saturday 2/24 starting at 9:00 a.m. to work on beautifying our school! Bring your children to help…and anyone else (grandparents, relatives, neighbors) who enjoys gardening, carpentry, grounds clean-up, etc.

Whether you can stay one hour or the entire day, that’s fine by us.

Plan to bring a water bottle, gloves, tools ( wheelbarrows are always needed ) if you have them.

The Austin ISD 2017–18 Parent & Family Survey is now available and is accepting responses online through March 2.Paper copies of the survey are available at each campus and online at the links below.

Families are encouraged to participate so they can share input on district and campus performance.The results will help district leadership learn how to best to improve services for our students.
