Hope y’all bundled up and stayed warm on your journey to school today!
It’s like we’re having a real winter out there! Though I’m still having a hard time convincing my boys that shorts are probably not the best clothing option.
I also hope y’all enjoyed the holiday break and spent quality time with your family and friends, gave and received awesome gifts, and ate loads of delicious foods!
I know it can be rough getting back into the swing of things after a big break but we are here in a fresh new year (isn’t it fun to write 2018 now?) and ready to get started!

We’re Movin’ on Up!
Starting Friday January 5th, 2nd grade will join the Upper Grade Assembly. PK will join Lower Grade Assembly starting Friday, January 12th. Parents are always welcome to join! Our Friday Assemblies begin at 7:40 and end at 7:55.

Know anyone who may be interested in joining the most rockingest elementary school in Austin? Be sure to let them know that we have 2 Prospective Parent Tours in January!
Jan 11th & 19th at 8:00 a.m.
No RSVP is needed to attend any of these events. Prospective parents should bring a photo ID and are welcome to bring their child as well!

Science Fair is January 25th
The Annual THES Science Fair is coming up on Thursday, January 25th! It’s not too late to sign up. Project description forms are available on our science fair information page, in the office or from Mrs. Penney. If you have questions regarding the fair, please email Mrs. Penney at tonya . penney@austinisd . org.
