Did you make your resolutions? Did you eat your black eyed peas? How about eating 12 grapes at midnight (apparently a New Year’s tradition in Spain)? If so, you must be all set and ready to go for 2016!
As we all adapt back to the early mornings, remember that the school bell rings at 7:45, please be in your classroom by the time the bell rings. It’s tough, I know, but you can do it! 🙂
Book Fair: January 11-15th
The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to the Travis Heights Library early this year!
The Book Fair theme is Monster Reading this year and the Book Fair gods were smiling upon us as we’ve just gotten lucky enough to score a collection of the cutest monsters, handcrafted out of cardboard and doodads! This fair promises to be a super smash this year, and I hope you’ll be a part of it!
January 11th-15th 8:00-3:00 Mon.-Friday
Family Night Wed. the 13th until 6PM
Volunteer Call:
On Friday, the fair usually closes after lunch, to begin the *long* packing process!
If you are interested in helping with fair set up or pack up, please contact Mrs. Underwood ASAP at julie. underwood@austinisd .com!
Set up will be on Friday, January 8th, starting at 2:00 P.M. and pack up will begin on Friday Jan. 15th at 1:00 P.M.!
