Wednesday Folder – March 5, 2014

Happy Wednesday All!

Fifth graders are off on their Camp Champion adventure and Spring Break is around the corner!

In other big news, Monday THES hosted an impromptu meeting and presentation to Randi Weingarten the president of the American Federation of Teachers, Eduaction Austin, AISD board members, Austin City Council members, media representatives and others. In case you don’t remember or weren’t at THES the last couple years, The American Federation of Teachers was the organization that gave THES and Education Austin the grant money to start the Innovation School Project. It was a great chance for us to show AFT the progress we have made. A more detailed post is coming about the successful presentation and tour. In the meantime here is a link of the news coverage by KEYE.

We had another great Beautification Day on Saturday. Thank you all for coming and helping! Also a shout out to Starbucks for donating coffee to the event and to parent Melissa for initiating the donation.

Don’t forget, spring class photos are tomorrow!

Be sure to read the March Newsletter from Ms. Robertson for more information and updates from around the school.
