What is Camp Champions?
Camp Champions is based in Marble Falls, Texas and ranks as one of the best camps in the nation. As you may or may not know, our entire 5th grade heads off to Camp Champions every year with a crew of phenomenal THES staff/volunteers. The camp offers a 3-day/2-night life enriching experience that takes learning out of the school building and into nature.
A main focus of the trip is about building self-confidence, fostering leadership skills, and promoting teamwork, through outdoor sports/learning activities (archery, fishing bonfires/storytelling, insect/plant/start spotting, etc.) and challenging individual and teamwork activities (e.g., ropes courses). Every year we seek donations for all soon to be 5th graders to be able to attend Camp Champions. Look out for information from the PTA around ate April/early May on how to support this effort.
