One of the PTA roles is to support the innovative educational programs at Travis Heights. The stronger our fundraising efforts are, the more support we can give. We are looking for a volunteer to lead our fundraising team. It will be an exciting year as we look for creative ways to ensure the future of our Blended Learning/Technology program.
This position helps ensure that parents are kept informed about what’s happening at the school. The Communications Chair leads a team to update the website, maintain our social media presence, and send the e-folder/Wednesday Folder each week.
Spirit Store Coordinator
Do you enjoy styling in your Thunderbird gear? Wish you had more? You can make it happen! The Spirit Store Coordinator is in charge of ordering merchandise and T-shirts, tracking inventory and organizing volunteers for Spirit Store sales.
Are you a great host? Consider helping organize our First Day of School Welcome Coffee. This event provides an opportunity for new and returning parents to gather after drop off to meet new friends and catch up with old ones. Volunteers are needed to arrange for coffee and snacks, set up, and clean up.
College Volunteer Coordinator
This year we had a lot of interest from college students wanting to volunteer with our THES students. We would love to expand this program if we can find someone to lead it. The coordinator would work with teachers to identify needs and coordinate the volunteers’ schedules.
Are you looking for a way to get involved that doesn’t take a lot of time? This may be the job for you! The Meeting Coordinator helps arrange the logistics for our school-wide meetings which take place 4-5 times a year. The systems are in place, we just need someone to check in with staff each time to arrange for things like room reservations, child care, technology, and translation.
A THES tradition since the 1950s, Fall Carnival is a night filled with games, food, and fun, all while raising money to support our school! Help us keep this awesome tradition alive by volunteering as Carnival Co-Coordinator. Duties include supervising teams of volunteers to organize games/booths, provide publicity, recruit volunteers and arrange for logistics at the event.
Tamalada & Cultural Festival Coordinator/Co-Coordinator
The Tamalada and Cultural Festival help THES celebrate the diverse cultures that make up its community. The Coordinator(s) are responsible for working with volunteers to solicit donations, organize volunteers, arrange performers and handle the logistics that make the event happen. Please consider lending your talents to make this community building event a success!
