Greetings Thunderbirds!

Hope you are having a great Wednesday. Today’s folder will be brief as half of the efolder team is sick and the other is out of state! But there are lots of fun events coming up so be sure to check it all out!

THES Rummage Sale March 2nd, 8am-12pm

Come find treasures and be sure to bring your coupon (found in the pdf below)

PLEASE DONATE GENTLY USED CLOTHING,. TOYS. BOOI☘ Shamrock Dance!! ☘

Friday March 8 from 4-6pm is the Annual Sham-Rock Dance!

When: This Friday, March 8nd (4-6pm)
Where: THES Gym
Who: 3rd-5th Grade THES students only (sorry no alumni, or younger students)
What: $5 buys your entry plus a drink and 2 cookies!

You can purchase tickets at the door or before/after school starting March 4. You can also bring extra money for: Nachos, Popcorn, Photo Booth, and Tattoos!

Don’t forget a pair of dancing shoes and lots o’ green! Money raised will go to support the 4th grade in costs related to visiting the Alamo.

4th Grade Families: We are asking that all 4th grade students please donate at least one dozen cookies for the Dance. Drop them off in the teacher’s lounge on Friday.

Did someone say Kerbey Queso?

Our friends at Kerbey Lane Cafe 3003 South Lamar are donating 10% of their sales to our school – How awesome is that?
Monday, March 4th -ALL DAY

Grab your family and friends and head over to Kerbey Lane Cafe on South Lamar for pancakes, salads, burgers and of course Kerbey Queso!

Steam Day planning is under way!

Hello and Happy 2019 Friends of Travis Heights Elementary School!

Last year we combined our Young Scientists Day and Young Artists Workshop into our first STEAM day, and it was a great success! We are beginning to plan for another amazing 2019 STEAM event at THES, and so we are reaching out to see if you or someone you know would like to be a presenter for STEAM DAY 2019.

The date is set for the morning of Tuesday, April 23.

The format: you facilitate two, 40-minute workshops in your assigned classroom. We will provide a catered lunch and great goody bag to show our true appreciation for sharing your skills and profession with our students…not to mention the satisfaction of contributing to the betterment of community! Our kiddos LOVE this dynamic day of learning from you!
Please let us know if you are able to participate, or if you have any questions. Also, feel free to forward this to others that you think would be a good fit to participate.
