Hope y’all are having a great week! I know y’all have been having so much fun in Primetime but don’t forget, this is the last week of Primetime until it starts up again in the spring. Be sure to give the Primetime teachers a high five and a big appreciation pump for all they’ve done this session. Thank you Primetime teachers and Ms. Guerra in the office for organizing it all again this year!

Do you have your ticket??
Visitors are invited to join their child for a traditional turkey lunch tomorrow, November 16th. In order to purchase a meal from the cafeteria, visitors must have a pre-purchased ticket. Tickets are available before or after school and are $4 for adults and $2.80 for child visitors. Lunch times will be different! Check with your child’s teacher for the correct time. (If you can’t make it in before or after school, tickets will be sold during lunch tomorrow as well- just allow extra time to purchase yours before heading to the cafeteria).
School Meeting & Performance this Thursday!
Our first School-wide meeting of the year is tomorrow, Thursday, 11/17. Join us at 6pm in the gym for a conversation about Safety Procedures at THES. Then stay for a musical performance by our 2nd & 3rd grade students. (Student performers need to be in the cafeteria by 5:45pm). Childcare will be provided during the meeting.
3rd-5th Family Fun & Fitness Day is Friday!!
3-5th grade students have their Family Fun and Fitness day this Friday, 8-11am!! Families are welcome to join students for this day of fitness fun and games. Don’t forget to bring your grade’s snack item!

And be sure to send a water bottle for your child!
Spirit Day – Stuffed Animal Day – This Friday – 11/17
When your little one tells you they must bring their favorite stuffy, Bob, to school on Friday, rest assured they aren’t pulling your leg. ‘Cause it’s Bring your Stuffy to School Day this Friday for THES Spirit Day!

Sign up for Cultural Festival and Tamalada!
Families are still needed to create cultural tables for the Festival on Dec. 9th. Sign up online if you can help. And don’t forget to mark your calendars for Dec. 6th to help make (or learn how to make) Tamales!

Chicken Crew
We are working on creating a team of volunteers to help care for the THES chickens on weekends and holidays. Training will be provided and we are looking for families to take care of the chickens for a weekend at a time. This will involve coming to the school daily to feed/water, clean the coop and let them roam free for a bit. If you are interested in helping out, please email volunteers@travisheightselementary.com.
Coffee Chat
Our next Coffee Chat is Friday, December 1st (the week after Thanksgiving). This month’s topic is Literacy and we will hear from the school’s reading specialist on some of the online programs the school uses to support reading skills.
