Carnival Is Coming!
Friday, October 27th, 5-8pm
Save the date for this annual evening of family fun! Volunteer sign ups for game booths are now posted – please help out by signing up for a shift or two! The sign ups are on large purple posters in each grade level hallway (2nd grade is at the top of the stairs near the office). If you can’t make it to the school to sign up, please return the sheet from last week’s folder, or contact your child’s teacher and ask them to sign you up!
Be a Carnival Super Star!
We are also in need of some special helpers to make this evening a success!
Heavy Lifting Crew-We need some powerful guys and gals to help move carnival booths and furniture before and after the event, Friday, October 27th. Set up 3-5pm / Clean up 8-9pm. Help may also be needed earlier in the week.
Carnival Clean Up Captain– We are looking for a volunteer willing to help lead our clean up efforts after Carnival. There are always many hands pitching in, but we need someone to direct the effort. Training will be provided!
Lighting Crew– 2-3 volunteers are needed to help put up lights on the evening of Thursday, October 26th.
Donation Runners– We have a number of food items being donated and need a couple of volunteers who can pick them up and deliver them to the school on October 27th.

Coffee Chat next Friday, Oct. 20th at 8am
This summer some of our THES staff were trained on a new program, Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI). TBRI views behavior as a statement of need and encourages adults to address student’s behavior in a non-confrontational manner. If you would like to learn more, please attend this month’s coffee chat where a district expert will share TBRI strategies with parents.
