Science Fair Parent Training- Tonight 6pm!
Wondering how Science Fair works? Not sure of the best way to help your student complete their project? Then tonight’s Science Fair Parent Training is for you! Science Fair Projects are required for 3rd-5th grade students and are optional for lower grades.
School Meeting & Performance this Thursday!
Our first School-wide meeting of the year is this Thursday, 11/17. Join us at 6pm in the gym for a conversation about how we can build community at our school. Then stay for a musical performance by our 2nd & 3rd grade students. (Student performers need to be in the cafeteria by 5:50pm).
🍗 Thanksgiving Lunch 🍗
It’s Turkey time! Thursday is the annual Thanksgiving lunch in the Cafeteria, and you are welcome to join your student! Please check with your child’s teacher for their lunch time. Lunches are $3.50 for adult visitors and $2.70 for child visitors. Don’t forget to come a few minutes early so you can check in at the office for your visitor’s badge!
Family Fun & Fitness Day Friday!!
3-5th grade students have their Family Fun and Fitness day this Friday, 8-11am!! Families are welcome to join students for this day of fitness fun and games. Don’t forget to bring your grade’s snack item!

Wednesday, November 30th-Tamalada
Please plan to join us at our annual Tamalada. No experience required, all are welcome to come and learn! Though children are not able to help make Tamales since we will be selling them, there will be activities for them as well.

Our annual Tamalada and Cultural Festival are the week right after Thanksgiving. Only 5 school days away! We need many additional volunteers for both events! The event is a celebration of our school’s diversity. It is in understanding and learning about each other’s family history that we learn to celebrate our uniqueness as a whole community.

Cultural table: Represent your culture! Set up a table with items that represent your culture, heritage, and/or ethnicity such as books, food, photos, maps, flags, artifacts, and/or traditional clothing that are common in your culture/heritage.
Performance: It can be a dance, a song, an instrument, or any other cultural performance you’d like to share.
Vendor’s Market: If you sew, craft, create art or own a small business, consider renting a table to sell your wares! Tables are $25 each. Limited spots available so sign up early!
