We Need Cakes! 🎂 🎂 Any Kind, Any Size, Any Shape, Homemade or Store Bought!
Grade Level food donations:
- Pre-K: Cookies
- Kinder: Fresh Fruit
- 1st: Bottled Water or Yogurt Tubes
- 2nd: Beef Hot Dogs or Buns
- 3rd: Shredded Cheddar Cheese or Round Tortilla Chips
- 4th: Tortillas (corn or flour) 10ct
- 5th: Bag of Frito’s (no scoops)
Drop off: Friday, Oct. 21st, in the Teachers’ Lounge beginning at 7:30am.

Super Successful Book Fair!
Did you hear? Our Used Book Fair was a huge success, with over 900 books sold!
Your donated books helped feed new readers and help them create their own home libraries.
But wait there’s more…the money raised will help us purchase the next collection of Texas 2X2 Award Winners for our PK-2 and Texas Bluebonnet Award Nominees for 3rd-5th.
We’ve got a lovely book life cycle happening at Travis Heights, and we’re thankful for all of you that were a part of it!

Carnival Clean Up Captain needed!
We are looking for a volunteer willing to help lead our clean up efforts after Carnival next Friday. There are always many hands pitching in, but we need someone to direct the effort. If you are able to help, please contact volunteers at travisheightselementary.com
Carnival Heavy Lifting Crew
We are in need of some powerful guys and gals to help move carnival booths and furniture before and after the event, Friday, October 21st. Set up 3-5pm / Clean up 8-9pm. If you are able to help, please contact volunteers at travisheightselementary.com.

Ice Cream Social/Meet Your Teacher
Time: 3:30 pm-5:30 pm
Annual Back-to-School Ice Cream Social: Find classroom assignments and meet your teacher at this annual event. Come by any time after 3:30 and stroll through your classroom. The cafeteria will have information about the school available and ice cream/non-allergen icy pops available to cool off from the heat. Please plan on stopping by the cafeteria with your child.
The social is also a great time to bring school supplies to your classroom too! School supplies can be placed in a bag with your child’s name on it. Please do not place your child’s name on individual items/school supplies within the bag. If you cannot make the social, school supplies can be brought in the first week of school. Questions about supplies can also be posed to teachers at the social or during the first week of school as well, and purchased thereafter.
