Evening Schedule:
5:30-6:00 – Walk the campus halls and outdoor areas; Visit our Art, Music, and PE rooms (a.k.a. Special Areas). Wander through the library. Check out how you can support your school. Classrooms will be off-limits during this time.
6:00-6:30 – Join us in the gym and meet the Thunderbird staff. Hear updates on where we are now that we have become the first grass-roots, community initiated in-district charter school within AISD! We will introduce our Thunder Board members, our PTA Executive Board members, and parent and community leaders supporting our school. Learn about efforts to better our communications and harness more people power through volunteering of time, talent, and treasure. It takes a village.
6:35-7:10 – Classroom #1: Visit your child’s classroom and hear about classroom routines/expectations, what your child will be learning this year, and how you can help from your child’s teacher. Q&A.
7:10-7:55 – Classroom #2: For those with more than one child, hear a repeat of the above information.
