Learning occurs in the classroom and is extended through field trips! While an important component of our instructional plans, field trips can get expensive. Mrs. Maureen Freeman, a 5th grade teacher at THES, applied for the Target Field Trip Grants. Her extra effort and time has paid off! Her proposal was selected as a recipient of a 2018 Target Field Trip Grant in the amount of 0. With these funds, our 5th graders will visit The Meadow Center at Texas State University, to see how habitats combine to sustain life and what is the effect humans have on our natural environment.
