Attention Thunderbirds!
Please join us Thursday, November 21st, for Literacy Night sponsored by the Travis Heights Elementary PTA. In lieu of our monthly meeting, we invite parents to this family-friendly event from 5-6:30. Tables will be set up for specific grade levels from Pre-K through 2nd to educate parents about phonemic awareness and fluency, both important for building early reading skills. There will also be some demonstrations about how technology is being used in our school to promote literacy.
Literacy skills are critical for children’s success in school. Please come and learn how you can help your child develop strong reading skills and a love for reading that will stay with him/her for a lifetime. Children welcome. Healthy snacks will be available.
