Going On A Nature Walk!

  We had this awesome view when we went on a nature walk around the block of the school. We went on a nature walk for science because we were learning about plants, and that’s how we started our unit!

Art in 4th grade

    In art 4th grade we are making clay tiles, so far most kids are glazing their tiles. Everyone has different creative ideas.  Some people are done with both tiles. When some tiles fired some broke, but most people could fix them.

vote PBL

Fourth grade is working on a PBL project (project based learning) to convince people to vote. We are using a television set in the computer lab. We are actually using real equipment to video each other.

  Archery was fun at Family Fun & Fitness with our friends. Native American PBL

4th grade is doing a PBL(project based leaning) on native Americans. As a class ,we are learning about different tribes. So far we have learned about 4 tribes Coahuiltecan, Comanche, Caddo and Apache.  We learned were they lived, what they eat, and what they used for transportation.

3rd Grade Market Days

Students learned a little bit about how to run a business and manage a budget by participating in 3rd grade”s PBL.  Today was Market Day, when the classrooms are opened up and many “small businesses” sell their wares.

Family, Fun and Fitness

At Family Fun and Fitness we did many fun activities like Tug-a-war and the sack race and much much more. There were many things to do and it was an amazing day. It was a great day to socialize and be athletic. A big Appreciation Pump for Ms. Collins for this wonderful day!

Travis HS Band

We were delighted by a performance of the Travis High School Band today.  Next year our fifth graders may choose to take band as an elective. Thank you to Ms. King and to Mr. Kennedy (who teaches band at Fulmore) for arranging this fun break today!
