We are reading a book. It’s called Down the Mysterly River. Down the Mysterly River is about a boy who somehow ends up in this world. His name is Max the Wolf, and he meets a talking badger named Banderbrack. Later he meets a man with the blue swords. The man tries to kill Max. Then, a talking cat named Mctavish saves Max and the badger. After that, they meet a talking bear named Walden. This book is dramatic, suspenseful,sad story. There is a big twist at the end! Travis Heights Elementary has its own library with almost every book in the world poems, including nonfiction, fiction, graphic novel, scary, Korean, Spanish, Texas 2 by 2 books, bluebonnets and fairy tales.  There is even a kiva where our library’s stuffed dog Bankes has books in his doghouse. The librarian, Mrs.Underwood, picks a book and reads it to us until the end of library time.

4th  Grade is reading the book Wonder by R.J. Palacio. It’s about a deformed  boy who was home schooled. He never went to another school.  He finally goes to public school and his perspective changes. This is the most heart-touching book ever!  The only way you know it’s good is if you read it yourself.
