Our 2nd graders had a wonderful time on our field trip the to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. We enjoyed a nice lunch under some beautiful trees on picnic tables before heading out to get in touch with nature, learn through discovery and explore our native plants and the environment.
The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower botanic center inspires the conservation of more than 800 species of native Texas plants from many of the major ecoregions of Texas.
Although we were hot and thirsty, we learned a lot and had so much fun using the outdoors as our classroom!
We even got to see owlets!!! Well, maybe not as close up as in the picture, but they were cute!
