About Me:
As a child, Ms. Moore got home from school and subjected her siblings to playing student. She was addicted to the palpable high from opening a new box of crayons or sharpening a new pencil. In secondary school, she spent afternoons and weekends tutoring. She left her hometown for university, but it wasn’t long before she was working as a nanny and volunteering at the children’s hospital.
In the years that followed, she took other career paths, but she could not seem to escape the need for daily interaction with children. Ms. Moore enjoys children and likes sharing with them, seeing the look that comes over their faces when they begin to understand- when they come to a greater understanding of themselves and the world around them.
Ms. Moore joined the THES family in 2017. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, lounging in hammocks, going to concerts, killing house plants, burning dinner, and combating the animal fur that tumbles through her house no matter how much she cleans.

I am a proud born-and-raised South Austinite and became a Thunderbird in 2002. I started my career in ECSE then worked in SBS as well as SCORES. I am currently in school to become a paralegal and am thrilled to be back in Early Childhood this year. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my wonderful family.

Ms. Rios is from the beautiful west Texas town of El Paso. She graduated from UTEP and recently obtained her M.Ed. at UT Austin so she considers herself a Miner/Longhorn. Starting at Travis Heights Elementary in 2007, Ms. Rios has been with the Pre-K Team since 2009. She has two dogs, Tenoch, and Luna.

I have been a member of the THES family since 2015. I’ve worked in all grade levels and am excited to be back with pre-k this year. I am married and a proud, new mother to a future Thunderbird. I enjoy all things inside as I do not enjoy being out in the hot sun. In my free time I like to bake, shop and spend time with my family.

My name is Sarah Wakefield. I am excited to be a part of the Travis Heights Pre-Kindergarten team. I am originally from Iowa, but have called myself a Texan since 2001. I am a graduate of the University of Texas and I have taught Pre-K and Kindergarten from 2006 in a private school setting. In my spare time I love spending time with my family and friends, enjoying outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, canoeing, cooking and visiting the National Parks across our country.
