Cultural Festival!
From 10am -noon we will be celebrating the diversity that makes up our school community. At the festival you will be able to:
- Enjoy performances by the Choir & Ballet Folklorico.
- Visit tables representing cultures from around the world.
- Do some holiday shopping at the Mercado where there will be a variety of crafts and other items for sale.
- Buy Tamales made at the Tamalada! (12/doz., while supplies last)
Cultural Festival is always a lot of fun so be sure not to miss it!
Friday is Coffee Chat!
Be sure to stop in and enjoy some fresh coffee while we discuss the topic of Special Education. As always, there will also be an opportunity for Q& A with the principal regarding whatever is on your mind!
Tuesday, Dec 6th – Picture Retakes
If you are like me and you like to see the proofs for your child’s pictures before you order, you will notice that this year proofs weren’t sent home this year for environmental reasons. Saving trees and all that. 🙂 You can still see the proofs by emailing customerservice@strawbridge.net and tell them your child’s name, grade and teacher and of course, that you are at THES and they will email you your proof.
Then if you want a retake – fill out the form in the pdf below and return to your teacher. Also if you did purchase a photo and wish to have pictures retaken, you will need to return the original pictures in order to get your photo redone.

Are you interested in supporting the innovative educational programs at Travis Heights? Consider joining the fundraising team. Volunteers are needed to help with the annual PTA fundraiser in February. Please contact volunteers@travisheightselementary.com for more information.
Help in the Library! 📚
Our wonderful librarian, Mrs. Underwood, does an amazing job focusing on helping our students and, because of her focus on our Thunderbirds’ learning, her library cart often reaches maximum capacity. Volunteers are needed year round to help shelve books. Just head on down to the library anytime during school hours. The first time you go Ms. Underwood can show you the ropes and then you’ll be ready to drop in whenever you have a few minutes to spare. Even 5 or 10 minutes can be a big help.
