Hello Thunderbirds!
Hope you all are having a fabulous Wednesday and enjoying these awesome cool mornings! Fall is here! Yay! And to celebrate we are having our annual…
Fall Carnival in two weeks!
Please volunteer to help at a booth. The sign ups are in the foyer. Also don’t forget to bring in your gently used toys to be used for prizes. Lastly, check out the pdf below to find out what food item your grade is in charge of donating.
The carnival crew is working hard to make this event as awesome as it always is and they always could use more help. Check out the volunteer corner below to find out what kind of help is needed.
PrimeTime Starts This Week
Our wonderful after school program began yesterday. The classes run from after school until 4:15. If you don’t know what classes your kids are in or if you have any other questions please ask Kelly Guerra in the office. You can call the school at 512-414-4495 or email Ms. Guerra at kelly.guerra at austinisd.org
Volunteer Training on 10/18
If you want to go on field trips or help out in the classroom you need to come to a training every 2 years. The next one is at 8:00 a.m. on October 18, 2016.
Smile for THES
Did you know that THES can get money from your Amazon purchases? It’s really cool – THES will get .5% of all Amazon Smile eligible purchases. All you need to do is to click this link http://smile.amazon.com/ch/74-6062872 or got to smile.amazon.com and search for Travis Heights Elementary School. Once you are linked to the school, THES will begin getting benefits from your purchases. Remember that when you are doing your online holiday shopping this year!
Enjoy your week!!
Volunteer Corner
Carnival Clean Up Captain needed!
We are looking for a volunteer willing to help lead our clean up efforts after Carnival next Friday. There are always many hands pitching in, but we need someone to direct the effort. If you are able to help, please contact volunteers at travisheightselementary.com
Teacher Support
This time of year is always busy for teachers with initial assessments, conferences and report cards due. If you have a few extra minutes, be sure to check in with your child’s teacher or one of their teammates to see if they could use help making, copies, preparing materials or putting together a bulletin board. They will appreciate the extra help!
Carnival Heavy Lifting Crew
We are in need of some powerful guys and gals to help move carnival booths and furniture before and after the event, Friday, October 21st. Set up 3-5pm / Clean up 8-9pm. If you are able to help, please contact volunteers at travisheightselementary.com.
