Hello Thunderbirds!
What did you think of that crazy hail storm on Monday? What a wild weather year we are having. I’m actually kind of enjoying the craziness – how about you?
This week we are having a special coffee chat on Friday with guest speaker Darla Caughey who is the Social Emotional Learning Specialist for THES. She will present on the program called Social Emotional Learning which is in it’s second year of implementation at THES. Come on by the cafeteria for Starbucks coffee and an interesting chat.
Why do you love Travis Heights Elementary?
We are creating a short documentary film that showcases what is so unique and wonderful about this school. But we already know the answer – it’s people like you! Next Wednesday, April 16 and Thursday, April 17, please TAKE 5 MINUTES to share with us your personal story or just a few sentences of how this school affects your family’s life.
We want as many participants as possible!
Calling all artists!
Travis Heights Elementary is going to have the first annual Young Artists’ Workshop on May 16th. We need 15-17 artists of different types who are willing to provide workshops for students in grades 3-5. If interested email our intrepid PTA Vice President.
Have a happy Wednesday!
