Welcome back from Spring Break! Hope you all enjoyed your week off and that the time change didn’t mess you up too badly. 🙂
Can you believe we are entering the last 12 weeks of school already? And we’ve got a busy but fun time ahead of us.
Starting off Travis Heights Elementarty and Austin Interfaith will host a bilingual information session to explain the healthcare law, where you can sign-up, and how to avoid scams this Thursday, March 20th from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the School cafeteria. Come learn about the Affordable Care Act Health Insurance Marketplace, and how it may affect you! Call 512-739-1312 for more information. The deadline to sign up for the new healthcare marketplace is March 31st.
Then on Saturday we are hosting the 2nd Family Fun Run this Saturday the 22nd at 9:00 a.m. at Big Stacy Track. It’s super casual and fun way to chat with friends and get a little excercise. Last fall we had a pretty good turn out and the kids had a great time running and playing.
Also on Saturday the Kinder and First Graders in Math Pentathlon will be heading to their tournament. A big Appreciation Pump to you kiddos for luck! If your kids are Pentathletes you will be receiving an email with more info soon.
Scholastic Book Fair starts next week and runs March 24th – 28th every day in the library from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Thursday March 27th is Family Night until 8:00 p.m. and we’ll be selling snowcones from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Swing on by for fun reading and treats!
