Students will be divided into three groups…bus riders, walkers, and car riders:

•Walkers will be walked to the play pad area and will be supervised until all siblings arrive. They will be dismissed from that area no later than 2:55pm.

•Bus riders will be walked to their buses.

 

If you are picking up your child by car, we have new procedures. The bell rings at 2:45 at which time teachers will begin walking the students to their dismissal area, according to grade level…siblings will meet at the youngest child’s meeting area. 

•Kinder and 1st grade students will wait by the entrance of the north parking lot (in front of the PK/K Portable).

•2nd and 3rd grade students will wait by the north exit door (kinder porch).

•4th and 5th grade students will be waiting to the right of the front door (on the sidewalk in front of the cafeteria).

 

All traffic will be entering on Mariposa or coming down Alameda from the north.  If you get to your child’s stop and he/she are not there, you will need to circle around again.

 

To exit after picking up your child, you will use Alameda, Rosedale, or Algarita.  For dismissal only, these streets will be one-way. The idea is to have a constant flow of one-way traffic. 

 

Each family will receive a color-coded hanging rear-view mirror tag and if each family uses it daily our traffic will flow more efficiently.  There will be no parking allowed in front of the school.  If you need to park your car, please use Rosedale, Algarita, or Alameda, south of the school.
