Literacy Library Initiative
How do you teach reading if you don’t have any books?!
Description:
Literacy Libraries are designed to improve the reading and writing skills of all students. An up-to-date, comprehensive literacy library is essential for Travis Heights Elementary, enabling our teachers to engage students at appropriate levels and bring them to even higher levels of achievement.
Travis Heights Elementary serves an exceedingly diverse population of students. Budget constraints and growth in the suburban areas of the district have collapsed funding for any resources for inner-city campuses. Our students are working with materials that are DECADES old!
Recognition:
•Literacy Library named after your company and prominently displayed
•Press release to acknowledge your generosity in funding the Literacy Library
•Special Recognition as a THES Sponsoring Partner for this project on a flyer sent to every family at Travis Heights Elementary twice a year.
•Large Banner displayed prominently at school Carnivals.
This is an exciting initiative where you or your organization can make a HUGE difference in the lives of many children. Help us fund the Travis Heights Elementary Literacy Library and forever know that you were the reason our Austin students excelled!
