School Field Trips

Description: 

Field Trips offer students unique opportunities for education that are impossible to re-create in the classroom.  For many at our school field trips are their only opportunity to be exposed to these educational and cultural experiences.  Funding this project offers an outstanding opportunity for you to reach out and serve our community’s students enabling them to participate in field trips that other schools do frequently.  These experiences reinforce classroom learning and open unimagined horizons for our students.

Details:

Your generosity will enable our students to go on these diverse and educational trips:

•Pease Park

•Zilker Botanical Gardens

•Crowes Nest Farm

•Veterans Affairs

•Austin Nature Center

•Bob Bullock Museum

•Aquarena Springs

•San Antonio Zoo

•Alamo

•Ballet Austin

Recognition:

•T-Shirts with high visibility logo seen all over Austin by tens of thousands of people at every event attended (see attached sheet).

•Special Recognition as a THES Sponsoring Partner for this project on a special flyer sent to every family at Travis Heights twice a year.

•Large Banner displayed prominently at school Carnivals.

•Press release announcing business’ support of Travis Heights Elementary.

Commitment:

•7 grades/ 500 students x 2 field trips @ $5/ea for admission and bus = $5,000

•500 T-shirts @ $5/ea = $2,500

TOTAL COST FOR SCHOOL TO PROVIDE THIS PROGRAM:  $7,500
